The Beauty of Imperfect Writing: Embracing Authenticity

I want to write a post that’s real and imperfect. I don’t want it to be perfect or follow the rules of grammar and writing. Sometimes life isn’t perfect, and our writing doesn’t have to be either. I want to share the unfiltered, imperfect side of writing and let go of the pressure to be flawless. By the way, flawless, I am not! I do try.

I don’t aim to make mistakes, but I will write without worrying about perfection. Although messy writing gives me headaches, I often find that something good comes out of it when I take the time to read it.

I work with numbers, words, and writing every day, and I’m glad I don’t use a typewriter because I’d be using a lot of paper. I prefer using OneNote for my diary and the backup for my blog posts. It allows me to organize my entries in folders galore.

There are days when I want to engage with graphics and music without dealing with words or numbers, but that rarely happens. We all have bills involving numbers, and we always have something to read. I have folders for copies of my bills, as well, in One Note. I guess One Note is why my sanctuary is cleaner than it should be.

My sanctuary is a corner of the kitchen that is partially cluttered with my desk and crates used as shelves. I am within range of the AC, so I get cool air. We keep the AC at 70 degrees, and it’s so comfortable.

Ok. Now, I’m giving myself a headache because Grammarly hates me today on this post, and I don’t want to think about it. I fixed some, but I’m not fixing the rest.

All I can say is, “Welcome to my World.” May you have a thrilling ride, and may you discover and understand more about what bipolar disorder does to the brain of the one creating the content. We have one heck of a journey ahead of us. May you stay along for the ride. Happy reading!
